A rare original restricted proof copy Royal Air Force poster for the Airfield Construction Branch.

The poster designed to help improve safety, entitled Day In Day Out Wet Or Fine, Regular Servicing All The Time, Know The Servicing Schedules On Your Machine. 

With detailed printed information in the margin ‘Prepared by the Ministry of Supply, For Promulgation By Air Ministry’.  The poster is dated July 1955. Left margin with credit C.B.H. 26323 – Wt. 414444 – Dd 6319 – – 9/55. Over-stamped “Proof Copy” to lower right and “Restricted” to top margin .

The design depicts two R.A.F. pilots consulting the Royal Air Force Airfield Construction Plant Manual of Basic Services and Storage Schedules.

Dimensions 49cm high x 38cm wide.

The Airfield Construction Branch existed from 1939 until 1966. During this time they were responsible for the maintenance and repair of the Royal Air Forces buildings, facilities and runways across the globe.
