History

This bowl was acquired directly from the collection of former British Prime Minister James Harold Wilson, Baron Wilson of Rievaulx (aka Harold Wilson) and was by repute a gift from Sir David Frost (1939-2013).

Further to his successful interview with former President Richard Nixon, David Frost undertook a series of interviews with Harold Wilson in 1976. The pair had by this point been friends for a number of years.
